Both sets of fans singing “you’re getting sacked in the morning” as Palace complete a 4-1 victory

From memory we have a very poor record against Newcastle.Seem to remember them coming to us on very poor runs and nicking 0-1 wins.Let’s hope now with our more expansive style of play we can have pay back time, I am going for a 3-1 win as unfortunately I can see us conceding from a set piece but it would be great to get a clean sheet.

If Wilson plays it'll be a closer game, but we should win given the disarray they are currently in with players fighting, Bruce giving the squad three days off (when the squad is already accused of being unfit), and players supposedly openly questioning Bruce's authority.

If we play with a high intensity I think we should win this by a couple of goals based on how we've been playing against better opposition than NFC and the fact they looked visibly done against Spurs (physically and mentally). I'm going to go with 3-1. Gallagher and a brace for Edouard. ASM for them.

Your memory is correct. We have won only 4 of our last 15 home league games against Newcastle. 3 draws and 8 defeats. But there was that 5-1 win about 5 years ago - I still remember a couple of their supporters talking of their embarrassment as we left the ground.

Just our luck,Newcastle have just sacked Bruce, now their players will be putting in a shift to impress any potential new manager!!

Don’t think there’s much to worry about there. For one thing they won’t have a new manager in by Saturday. If you could choose any fixture this weekend you would pick Newcastle at home so we really need to take advantage of the situation they’re in and pick up three points.

I would be happy with a 2-1 or 3-1 and Wilf back. I should be there unless they do a sky special :-(

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

I remember the game against Newcastle, 2013/14 season. The weather was wet and very windy, Kayla the eagle was blown over the roof of the Holmesdale. As for the game, we lost 3-0, via a deflected shot, an own goal and a penalty.

All in all, a horrible day

Bruce sacked. Not sure if that’s good for us.

With Bruce gone it will be a difficult game if a temporary big name comes in for 18 months until they start spending their money. It could be a great time to stick it to them but not stop pressing like the Arse game. Wilson is a threat but he can’t hurt us if we keep them in their half. I wish Steve Bruce the best as he did a great job and deserved more from the fans

Newcastle will be dangerous with A new Man. even if it's a Caretaker from the club. sometimes that can release the players and they get A performance boost.

I'm predicting being 1 up @ 85 mins. Then the game finishing all square.
Sounds all too familiar.

Would be delighted with a 2-1 win, although they have all to play for infront of a "new" manager watching on.Conte maybe and they will be delighted that Bruce has been removed!!
