Luka bility

To my mind Luka is increasingly a liability to the team and adds little or nothing to our play Last night his free kicks were poor and he continues to pick the wrong pass and give the ball away. He remains one of our set piece takers and we have not scored from a set piece. Macca is now our midfield General. He leads from the front and has take up that role. So far not sure what Will Hughes has done but he cannot get a sniff. Maybe time he is given a shout

I think that Luka does more than we think although I agree that some of his dead ball work requires upgrading!

I agree time to see what Hughes can bring to the party.

Why is he back on corners when we know hes poor. Gallagher was brilliant on these pre Luka return

Zzzzzz another anti-Luka thread. Just what we need. He wasn't great last night. Sure. But he was part of a midfield that absolutely bossed Arsenal. So he can't have been that bad. Classic fickle fans. We see one corner that didn't make it past first man and suddenly had had a terrible game, no matter what he does. A couple of games ago he was arguably MOTM.

Now, now sprites, you were vindicated last night(gmt) over Tekkers scoring, enjoy the warm glow of 'told you so' & 'I knew he would'. Dont push ya luck(yet)
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Whilst he has improved on last season's form, he's still one of our weak links - poor distribution, doesn't win it back very often and the set pieces are absolutely infuriating - I'm not sure exactly what he brings to the team anymore. Would like to see us try McCarthur in the deeper role with CG and Hughes in front - McCarthur surely can't keep up the intensity of his current role for a full season.
