Same again surprisingly. Wasn’t expecting to see Ayew starting after his horror miss but what do I know.

Disappointed no to see either Schlupp or Olise in for Ayew, But Ayew needs to prove something today COYP

Not really a surprise. It was a good team performance last week and if a player is dropped every time he makes a mistake, who would we have left?

To be fair to Ayew he had a solid game apart from that miss and if you are going to drop him you should drop Guaita and Guehi for their parts in the equalizer.

Finally, Ayew needs his confidence built up, not knocked back and selecting him again should help him. I trust PV's judgment on this.

i think its no goals or assists in 20 matches, and olise and Schlupp available which surprises some people

I suspect Schlupp isn't yet 100% fit enough to start after his hamstring trouble. I expect either he or Olise will come on at some point. WE also have to remember that the team are still learning the PV way of playing so best to keep changes to a minimum for the time being.

I suspect Schlupp isn't yet 1005 fit to start the game. As for Olise, I expect he'll be introduced gradually over the coming months.

AS I also said on the match thread, the team are still learning the PV way to play so probably best to keep changes to a minimum for the time being.

Will be interesting to see how Ayew responds to the manager's vote of confidence.
