Hey fellow eagles…

Would fans subscribe to a CPFC TV on Sky/Virgin platform for say £6/month?

I just wondered - other (arguably bigger) clubs have their own tv channels, we’ve got CPFC player… which I think is streaming/internet based… not the same as a full blown TV channel. Obviously there’d have to be enough interest otherwise the club wouldn’t cover costs or make a profit, but now we’re fairly established in the Prem is it something there’d be an appetite for?

Why pay when you can watch games for free albeit illegally.

In dog beers I’ve only had one.

The surest way to ensure we get relegated this season.

Good choice but I live in Vietnam and for $90 per year we get ALL EPL games (with English commentary)live.

all total legal (on K+ channel) and makes one wonder why in others countries its so expensive

I can't imagine how this hypothetical CPFC TV could show games. Premier league broadcasting rights are protected to an extent that panda's and white rhinos can only dream of.

Personally I'd say football is massively over exposed already, and has spawned an entire unworthy and fatuous industry around 'bonus content'. Unless the team are playing I can probably live without any commercial presence in my life from Crystal Palace football club, major transfer news etc notwithstanding.

But then I am curmudgeonly, and possibly not the target audience for such a venture.

A poster and post that clearly has no idea how the sale rights to the EPL and the basics of PPV work.

Firstly any club channel cannot show live matches they cannot even provide audio if that audio has been sold elsewhere (specifically in relation to overseas rights.)

And not to put too finer point on it,this would not be a big seller and not worth anyone doing it. I cannot see the advertisers flocking to buy space at the Palace Watford half time.

Ain't gonna happen

Bit of a snotty reply.

I can't see anywhere in his post where he said anything about showing live matches.

The market would be to small to make it financially viable in my opinion. You'd have to pad out the channel with U17,18, 21 Games as well as the Ladies side, as well as Documentaries & players interviews (past & present)CPFC barely manage to put up a feed for a friendly game without technical hitches.
I just had a look on my Cable & I have
Barcelona TV
Celtic TV
Inter TV
Lazio TV
LFC TV
Milan TV
MUTV
Rangers TV
Real Madrid TV
Roma TV
Torino Channel

A responder and response that clearly has no idea how to read.

Where did I ever state it would show EPL games? other clubs have their own tv channels and do not show live EPL games, liverpool FC, MUTV and so on.

Please try to stay on topic

Good response!

Surely this is something that we should be working towards? Another development for the club.

Just a thought, but if Torino Channel is a thing, then why can’t CPFC TV be one (one day) too

That only happens when clubs win trophies I'm afraid. Being plucky old Palace isn't going to do it.
In fairness I think Parish realises this.
