60 years ago today, my dad had been posted abroad and we were set to join him so my grandad took me on a rollercoaster for the first time. It was Crystal Palace v York City, 1-0 Palace win. Can’t remember much about the game but we sat in the stand towards Whitehorse end. I have just been able to acquire the programme, seems it was a win that got us promotion from Division 4. I have remained on that rollercoaster ever since and whatever happens will never get off!

Didn't we beat Posh 5-2 that season? I thing we lost 1-4 at theirs. Average gate of 18,000+ that year. A record for the lowest league that I can't see being broken. (Unless they let the Glasgow pair in the league). I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

Average gate of 18,000+ that year. A record for the lowest league that I can't see being broken. (Unless they let the Glasgow pair in the league).

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.
