What does this mean long term for out club?

I can’t see us spending big in the summer. Worrying times.

This is why staying in the league is our main objective

Yes, staying in the league is paramount, stay up and build the new stand,if we got relegated and didn"t come back up in a few years we would just be another blackburn, charlton or wigan, except without their trophys!

Is it right Sky and BT are going to pay way less moving forward. Something like 85% of our incomes is from telly rights no? Coupled with our covid accounts which must be dire, we must be looking up a steep hill or are our investors putting up at last?

Maybe we should start to reduce the losses by letting some of our big earners leave? Sakho, Benteke and our injury favorite Wickham to mention three, then finally end the Zaha chapter if Arsenal or any other club pay us what we demand.
Secondly, make younger players our main transfer goal, no more relying on has-beens...

I don't know where he got the accounts from as they haven't been files yet. Some of the loss will be accounted for my extending the year end for a month as the figures will now include 13 months wages and overheads.

The article states that turnover is down by just over £10m from the previous year which surely indicates substantial underlying losses on a continuing basis.

i await the filing of the accounts with interest as the article poses more questions than answers

Or, better yet, offer them reduced terms. Benteke just hitting some form and Wickham looking good for the 23s.
Agree about time to let Zaha move on. That would certainly help the piggy back.

Exactly why staying in this league was all that mattered this year. Fans are completely underestimating the affects COVID is going to have on football clubs.

Think you will find every prem club, or football club for that matter will be posting significant losses this year due to Covid. It will all be relative and why this summer will be a buyers market with reduced fees

Terrible but not as bad as it might have been. It looks terrible comparative to the previous season but that included the Wan-Bissaka sale. If we get back to normality then not too bad but there is the tricky Main Stand question, do we start the building asap or hold back another year, a veritable sword of Damacles.
on another but similar note has anybody had problems swapping last season's ticket money for this season's ticket?

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

I think we know now why Palace have not yet started negotiations with those out of contract they have been waiting for the annual accounts and not just Palace.

Other clubs will soon by publishing their losses as well so hopefully the agents will realise that only a tiny handful of clubs are able to spend money.

I suspect that those who want to stay will re-sign at lower wages whilst only PA and Zaha and possibly Benteke are likely to get better terms elsewhere.

Get rid of all of the out of contract players, and sell Zaha even at 15m, Mitchell, Eze , and Mateta are better than them 3 you mentioned anyway, there will be dozens of players available on frees at other clubs, New manager is the Priority, we have to get rid of all the 70k and over players
