For some reason Chris Wilder is leaving Sheffield Utd today according to the BBC, I can't understand it at all but would you have him at Palace if Roy's contract ends this summer?

If Roy does leave I think his hat would certainly be in the ring. He got quite an average Sheffield Utd into a great position last season, but this season injuries have taken their toll, along with the lack of quality players. The one question mark for me is he seems to have a lot of anger in him at the moment, so I question whether he might need a a break from football.

The fact it is being reported that he is leaving due to his belief that the club have not invested as much as they should have in players may may well be a cautionary insight that rules him out of coming to us. It never looks good when a manager is perceived to have to spend money in order to succeed (even if it is true).

There were rumours that part of Wilder's dissatisfaction stemmed from the club wanting to bring in a director of football to oversee the club's transfer policy. If he wants complete control over transfers then I doubt he'll be coming here, as Roy constantly reminds us that he has little input!

No Thanks. One decent Prem season based on a different approach, upwards momentum team spirit and a top goalie in Henderson. Always looks like he is sucking a lemon, dour northern attitude and won't work with a Director of Football apparently.
I am enjoying being back at Selhurst and having a beer with my mates just like we have done for the past 40 years. Through Thick and thin we stick with our club. Not chairman, players or managers, OUR CLUB! |

Strange one... he has obviously fallen out with the Owner... still you’d think he’d see the season out as they’re doomed already....

And the goalie he bought from Bournemouth for approx £23m, Ramsdale, has been questioned by a lot of the fans.

I like Chris Wilder - I think he demands a lot from his players (effort & work ethics wise) which to me makes him a good choice ( if indeed we are going to be in the market to make a choice) my first thoughts when seeing he is leaving Sheff Utd was to consider that he would probably end up at Newcastle Utd -

Sheff Utd sold him to Bournemouth for about £1 Mill + a 15% sell-on clause. My understanding is that when they brought him back to the club they paid £18.5 Mill for his services. Indeed I believe he has not endeared himself to the supporters of Sheff Utd.At the start of the year I heard that he had a tendency to concede goals from long range and this was labelled against De Gea when he first signed for Man Utd.
