Eddie Howe's odds to become the next Palace manager have shortened drastically today following a formal approach by the club. Roy is on his final chance next Monday evening. Another spineless performance like the last and apparently he will be gone as early as Tuesday morning.

Jason Tindall will join as his assistant having recently left his post at Bournemouth.

You heard it here first!!!

If true it's a bit worrying, team that can't defend hires a manger whose teams can't defend.

What's the source of this story?
Kevin Day ventured the opinion that Parish would be reluctant to get rid of Hodgson before the end of the season as he would appear like the man who shot Bambi.

Don't understand what difference the Brighton game makes to be honest ? We need a change of manager whatever the result.

Given the choice, I’d rather we did over Brighton.

I’ve been ‘Roy Out’ for a while now but in all honesty that is (in my mind only) a logical stance relative to our situation as it stands now. I don’t think any nostalgia can really be afforded in football but by the same token would never look to discount or refuse acknowledgement that RH has kept us up for numerous seasons and at the end of the day it’s an achievement that warrants respect if not high praise.

If we can get over the line this season including beating the weed, again, at their place with RH to bow out as amicably as possible at the end that would be my preference and I’d suggest the most desirable outcome for all. I would also assume this is what Parish and co. are hoping for.

If we lose miserably on Monday however, and this were to be true, I’d probably be minded to side with anything other then what we’ve seen all too often especially without Zaha, and that is us looking unlikely to ever score let alone compete in or win a game.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

A new manager isnt the problem, its an old stale squad, thats the problem.
A new manager would only achieve a very limited improvement, if any.

If true, and I really hope it's not, a truly awful choice. Highly overrated manager and highly unlikely to attract much in the way of better players.
But would be typically Parish, uninspiring, mediocre on a budget and proper championship thinking.

When I said if made no difference to result regarding a new manager, I meant that we need to start rebuilding now, and the earlier we get someone in the better regardless of the Brighton game .And the new manager can then start to sort out the crap ASAP.

Some wag on the other forum has suggested that if the players become aware of the rumour they will definitely not turn up on Monday to ensure Parish gets rid!!
