Was playing well at the start of the season (not bad player) but now he is either on the bench or not included in the bench like today. Would you play him ahead of PVA? When Ferguson is fully fit would you like to see Mitchell LB and Ferguson RB?

Mitchell will soon be back, he has time on his side and PVA is too erratic. We seem to suddenly have an embarrassment of riches.

Nah. Unfortunately that's just football. PVA offers us so much going forward and is decent enough defensively. Mitchell is young and as long as he keeps working on the attacking side of his game, he'll get his chance. Feel more sorry for Wardy, tbh.

Yup... like to see both of them... they do have time on their side....Roy does have a huge choice at the moment as he stated today....

Might be an unpopular opinion but I thought Mitchell did not disgrace himself (as is always my fear for younger players breaking through especially defenders) but hardly set the world alight. PVA is the more obvious choice to start for me but at the same time I hope TM does not fade into obscurity. Could maybe benefit from a loan away however we may need him available for the first team. Hopefully he’ll get more chances before the season is out.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

It really is a big step up from the Development Squad to the pressures of the PL and of course any young player who makes this step is not the finished product and is a 'Work in progress'. Mitchell did not disgrace himself but I would play PVA ahead of him for his experience and ability at this level.

PVA will be sold come Jan. Really hope not. His link up play with Wilf and Eze is responsible for an awful lot of our goals.

Mitchel is a much better defender, PVA is too often out of position due to attacking and against Spurs who we face next it could be a disaster, but having said that we do need PVA to link up with whoever is ahead of him which is where he is very decent ..until he gives the ball away then he's not, we have got issues in defence that we didn't really have before, but having said that I watched Arsenal today trying to defend against our next opponents and they did a marvellous job not.

Yeah, that's all fair. I still think on the whole, PVA is a better option for us. His pace gets him out of trouble a lot too.

What after we just scored five away from home? No PVA much more of a threat going forward. TM will have his day but for now it’s understudy to PVA.
