I am reading through everything, we have threads, Roy out, benteke, parish , ffs even throw ons ? Blaming roy for everything , “ruined benteke” I mean , this is our second best start to a premier league season My earliest palace memory was when my dad took me to a game when I was 5 in 1993 against Oxford ! We won 2-1 Chris Armstrong scored twice . Up the palace

Hear, hear. We could and should have won both the last two games. I have enjoyed the constructive comments on the match thread but when we lose a game constructive comments are becoming harder and harder to find.

The difference is, this is the most expensive and strongest squad we have ever assembled. We will more than likely win next week which will further paper over the cracks, hodgsons terrible one dimensional, plan a, dire to watch tactics. Will we go down ? no, because our squad is better than atleast 3 others in this league, nothing to do with hodgsons management at all, his tactics 100% make us less effective and less competitive. The players must hate playing under him, im sick of watching us play under him.

8 wins in 11 months. Dreadful performances. 2 of the sides we beat were relegated and 2 newly promoted, 2 of those sides played 1 preseason friendly before we played them and were drastically under prepared. The other two wins were against Brighton (had the worst form in the league when we played them) and Newcastle (drab 1-0 win from a set piece). Our performances against both sides this season have only gone to highlight our slow decline. We should be performing better with the players we have. I think we've managed 28 points since the start of the year. Edited by jeeagles (28 Nov 2020 12.15am)

No 👍 Get him out. We can’t even keep clean sheets now. What is he even here for if not that?

Im vindicated. for recognizing this old slog for what he really is. A chancer. Almost ran liverpool to the ground. pissful performance at the helm of england with so much talent at his beck and call. now has one of the strongest palace clubs and has results that are bang well average what the squad can produce? and its ok? how ambitions of a 73 year old manager coincicde with that of mid twenties go getters? so our club's master plan is having a neanderthal manager get bailed by Zaha to keep us in the league? And we wont Zaha leave? s*** all lives matter. Hodgeson out! CP will be the better for it!

You need to take points off clubs in a similar position, so it’s really galling to lose 6 points to Burnley and Newcastle in a matter of days.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

We are like a jigsaw - we go to pieces in the box. Against Burnley we fluffed 1v1 chances with the goalkeeper.Furthermore there was that that incident whereby McCarthy put too much pace on the cross and Batshuayi just failed to connect at the far post. Against Newcastle we had our chances with Schlupp drawing a save from Darlow, the Benteke header which was saved, The PVA effort across the box which was too far ahead of Batshuayi and the effort which was blocked by Fernandez throwing himself in the way of the ball. Edited by jeeagles (28 Nov 2020 12.15am) I've defended Roy against some of the more ridiculous critisism on here, but football's ultimately a results business. And if you go back to when play resumed last season, our points tally would have us relegation certainties. A win at West Brom would see a step back from the brink, a defeat though would put him under pressure. In terms of the last 2 games, I've seen us play worse and win. Both defeats hard to take. But last night's team selection was baffling and I'm sure like many others, when I saw it I feared the worst.
