Jermaine Beckford co-commentating basically saying Batshuayi is lazy. Think he is on a season loan with a 20m fee being agreed after. Looks like a big waste of money if true

As someone has already said elsewhere , I would send him back in January and try and get Giroud. Bats simply does not suit the way we play.

Not sure exactly what he brings. Offside more often that not. Scores the odd goal against weaker opposition but certainly does not seem to add much. Return to Chelsea as soon as possible I would suggest.

Our way of playing means we can’t afford the luxury of including Batshuayi consistently even if he scores the odd goal.
He rarely contributes to other aspects of our play.
None of our strikers really tick the boxes of what is required.
Ayew is tenacious and hard working but, despite exceeding expectations last season, is not really good enough to be leading a line in the Premier League.
Benteke is good in the air and has a physical presence, but looks shot at Premier League level as a goalscorer.
Buying what we need seems to be out of our price range.
So it may be case of trying to strike it lucky with a purchase of a Championship or overseas forward.

He was poor last night but I think he still has a role to play at the club. He is a poacher basically, so if we are going to get the best out of him we need to get low balls into the box. Riedewald, Eze, Wilf, and to a lesser extent Townsend, are capable of feeding him. He has been inches offside from three goals this season. I'm not suggesting he is worth 20m right now, but he does have 21 goals in 32 games for Belgium and a career history of 1 goal every three appearances in club football at the highest level. Once Zaha is back he and Ayew are going to have to fight for that shirt as right now neither is playing to the best of their ability.

So he is good enough to be selected for international duty and gets starts and appearances off the bench for one of the world's best national sides but not good enough for us?
