I know it’s early days and predictions can come back to bite you but WBA, Sheffield Utd and Fulham look really poor and most likely to get relegated this season .

Burnley tend to put a few results together and have only played seven. The others are so poor I think we could be safe by the end of January. In fact this looks to be the weakest Premier league overall for some years

Before the season started the consensus here was that there were not 3 teams poorer than Palace. I think the circumstances of this season have been a huge factor. League is unpredictable and any of the teams have the capability of putting together a good run of results. Results against the top teams have also been unpredictable, giving the bottom teams more opportunities to get points than in a normal season. With Palace, never presume anything.

Thinking the same. 27 games between them and I think Fulham beating West Brom is the only win. However still early doors and we must not get complacent and put in a good shift tomo. COYP !!

Most teams seem to want to play nice passing football but we seem happy to play smash and grab and it's working well so far. When we are on top of our game it makes it very hard for any team to beat us as we can be clinical on the break. You look at teams like Brighton and Leeds and they waste so many chances whereas we seem far more capable at scoring from the handful of chances we get. When we aren't on top of our game it is god awful to watch as we don't play a great deal with the ball. Looking at the current table I would be delighted but surprised if the current four teams below us stay below us (Man Utd, Arsenal, Wolves, Man City), while bar West Ham and possibly Southampton it would seem unlikely we would finish above any of the teams currently above us. Based on what I've seen so far I think we'll finish somewhere between 12th and 15th, but it's a strange old season so who knows what will happen

I have a feeling this season the relegation battle 'mini-league' will be smaller than the usual 'everyone else' with about 5/6 teams really scrapping it out. It will most likely be Fulham, Burnley, Sheff U, WBA and perhaps a couple more. I sincerely hope BHA get drawn in there and we do not!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
