Newcastle fans raised £20k for a local foodbank by refusing to pay the PPV (pay per view) money and instead directing their cash to local foodbanks. I'm starting this thread to gauge interest in a similar effort for our games going forward. If there is enough we could get it going on twitter, get a few major palace fan accounts on board, etc. With a Covid winter drawing in I'm sure South London foodbanks could do with the cash, and the prem certainly doesn't need any more. Anyone interested?

Yes it’s a good idea. I’d happily donate to a worthy charity like a foodbank

No brainer for me. Rather than pay any more to watch no shots on goal and our star player looking very disinterested in the last two games... Edited by Chubskip (20 Oct 2020 1.22pm)

We could raise money for the National Foodbank organisation the Trussell Trust. They have a local branch in Croydon Unit 5 We would then be donating for a worthy cause and I am sure we could get some worthwhile exposure and decent press coverage out of it as well.

Thanks to everyone for replying. I reckon might be able to do something special here, especially if we can get it going for all the palace matches on PPV Agree re particular foodbank, thanks to Pierre for sourcing that. I think we should ideally be aiming to get a dedicated giving page but not worry too much if we don't get one - if we don't hear anything back by lunch tomorrow I think we should just crack on, using their existing online donor page. Agree would be great idea to get BBS/HOL involved via their mods or admins - has anyone contacted them? (/Mods if you're reading this please reply!!) If not I'm happy to when I get off the train. Other people we could spam until they promote us (probably after we launch, haven't had much luck so far) (if anyone's got any names to this list please say): Palace YouTubers Beyond that we can obviously tell our mates, persuade them to tell others and post about it in any relevant group chats. Would love to hear thoughts on/alternatives to any of this.

Let us know if/when they come back to you. It can then be run past the Webmaster for approval.

No reason why not, except there would be no way to trace how much this has raised from Hol/BBS/Palace fans if people wanted to know.

You've been waiting for a moment like this Tom, you sly(if slightly perverted) old dog. Last time something similar happened on the HOL, was back in the late 90's when a certain MOD of the time bought all the butter around, put it to good use mind, can you follow in such auspicious company?
