I guess when people paid, they accepted the club would pro rate a rebate once the season is over. That was the deal on offer, no? It is a guess how long it will be before folks can attend matches.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

I haven't renewed but can update that I have just received an email from the club offering an extension on the ST renewal & save my seat date - extended till 30 / 10 / 2020 albeit at the phase 2 rate.

How incredibly generous of the club, they have extended to the end of October and have the nerve to charge you more than stage one .. to buy or hold your ST for games that you can’t attend. Fing geniuses, if only SP would tweet about it, what a guy.

That was pretty much my thoughts. It’s paid so either I get a refund at the end of the season or more likely just goes towards the following seasons season tickets. It’s a difficult situation. The club will never get it right for everyone. Not worth losing sleep over.

You would have thought it was common courtesy for the club to at least thank the 12,000 fans for lending them circa £7m interest free for a year.

To be fair a large chunk of the money has gone towards buying a new treatment table for Connor Wickham.

It’s the interest these multi-millionaires are making off my money I don’t like. As someone else said, it’s already paid and I will either get a refund or it will pay for next seasons ticket so from that perspective it’s no big deal but it is still MY money. That I could’ve invested in toilet paper stock last month instead of buy a season ticket and now I’d have more than the sum I’ve charitably given to Palace. It doesn’t really matter what I do or don’t do with the money or if I make any interest off it, it’s my damn money. Not these rich millionaires who will be combining all these season tickets and investing in something that makes them richer. It’s not on.

Very much doubt there will be any refunds.

As a fan it is comforting to know that only £15m of our turnover is gate money. The big test will be when tv contracts renew with premier. I’ll bet they will be way smaller. Ultimately players wages are the big issue. Huge as we all know.

Jeremy Hoskings is one of the big CONservative party donors, and one of our top shareholders, if you are a CON yourself you could find comfort in the fact your hard earned is making interest for a bigger CON donation, but i agree with you, it isn"t on-although it is ! The club only taking card payments inside the ground for a working mans sport was the thin end of the wedge, it"s not as though we are spurs with a high tech stadium that serves you a beer automatically with a card payment, it"s still a bar person serving- so why not take the window cleaners cash in hand?

Yawn, I agree cashless is a pain and I agree the ST fiasco is poor, but hard to see where Jeremy Hosking comes in as a minority shareholder in day to day club operations. Did you object to Hosking's political views when his money helped secure Palace's survival?
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
