Seems like Dann is no.1 centre back at the minute but playing a midfielder as his partner when Kelly and Dann form a good partnership, with their Liverpool connections form a better pairing All though stats can be slightly misleading but I'd be happy to wager that Dann/Kelly partnership is more successful, than a Dann/Kouyate

I'm not the first to say this, Kouyate is a better defender than midfielder. He plays the former for his country...unfortunately for us he prefers midfield.

Not sure how that helps on the pitch particularly, but if Kelly is fit I would prefer Kelly to be playing ahead of both Kouyate and Dann. As to who plays together I would base that on who we are playing. Kouyate is quicker, Dann is better in the air.

Kelly is the best out of the 3 for me. Last year it’s a fact that our most successful pairing was Kelly and Cahill. I like Kouyate a lot more at CB than I do in midfield. For a midfielder he is poor on the ball and has an atrocious touch, but for a CB he is solid defensively and can use his physicality more effectively. I still think Kelly and Dann make the best pair out of the 2, but I don’t mind seeing Kouyate there because I feel like he is a Roy favourite and if he isn’t there he will probably be in midfield which makes us weaker IMO.

This^ Get well soon Tomkins and Cahill.

AS I've posted before, I don't think it is necessarily a case of which is the best pairing but which is the best way to use the 3 CBs we have so as to minimize further injuries. Dann is getting on and Kelly has suffered injuries in recent months. I wonder whether it will be a case of Kouyate plus one of the others two, with the third player coming on as a substitute. I'm not sure that Dann can hack it week-in week-out without risking a Sakho/Cahill/Tomkins type injury. Hopefully RH will give us an update on the sick note situation at the pre-match interview. I'm not expecting to see Cahill, Tomkins or Sakho back for quite some time, hence the need to manage our existing 'fit' CBs carefully.

Seems it is time to upgrade our central defence. Our sicknote trio (Cahill,Sakho and Tomkins) are all great, but way too injury prone.

We're Dann and Kouyate the centre back partnership for the last 7 games of the season? Slightly worrying to think Danny Ings will be coming on Sat Didn't he rob Kelly at the home game last season, and Kelly has not really featured since?
