Wilf and Riedewald the best players in the first half, the latter commanding the midfield, looking composed, tackling well and passing well. Worrying how easily Brondby are stretching our defence though. Wilf looking focused and if he stays I think he could have a big season; if he goes then that is a worry based on preseason as he looks by far our biggest threat. McArthur has been a bit sloppy at times and Schlupp has once again wasted opportunities. Ayew, as good as he is, still lacks that killer instinct in front of goal that we miss. Him and Wilf up top look good, but you don't feel they'll score a great deal between them as they look a bit too similar (i.e. quick feet, good dribblers and strong but not so great in the air and lacking composure in front of goal).

Really good game. Hoping for an entertaining second half.

Wilf. He took it well. Assisted by Ayew.

Luka on for McArthur.

I thought they looked good for first half. Schlupp does pose massive question marks playing as an attacking option and continued lack of composure when he gets gilt edged opportunities. You can feel his tension at the critical moment...very Benteke like.

Townsend cuts in on his left foot and spoons one over the bar, rinse and repeat. Could he not try just placing one in the corner now and again, seems to work for Salah and Mane.
