Roy will still be manager, Zaha wont find a buyer, Kouyate will be first choice centre back, the team that finished will start next season, and 3/4 cheap young players will be added to the squad, no other signings.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

Unfortunately for the fans, probably a pretty accurate summary!
I think this time Zaha could leave though.
Hodgson wasn’t talking like a man yesterday who expected him to stay.

I will somewhat shocked if he is still with us at the start of the season which of course is only 6 weeks away.
Given the season he has had, I suspect there won't be too many tears from supporters when he moves to 'pastures new'.

Key will be getting Wilf out the door as quick as possible so we can focus on the club this summer and not him. Try and bring in an exciting attacking player within the first few weeks to lift the spirits ahead of the new season and then try and fill the other necessary spots as we are able. It is really hard to call on what will happen next season until we know if the club can finally produce in the transfer market. Give Roy quality players and I have complete faith he'll steer us to a solid season, possibly even flirting with the top 10. Fail to do so and it is hard to see anything but a relegation scrap.

Zaha will be stuck with us as there will be no takers.
Hodgson will still be here to finish out his contract.
And we will start the season with basically the same starters as we have done all of this season.

I have no idea about our current transfer kitty but let’s pray we have players lined up straight away but don’t expect anything exotic to walk through our door, it will be a couple of young lads for the future and maybe 1 old head.

Hopefully we can find someone silly enough to take Sakho.
Meyer needs to go.
Riedewald should leave for the sake of his own career, maybe back to his own level in the Dutch league.

A lot of you on here need to brace yourselves for another year of moaning because this is not going to be pretty.

I think the OP is ahead of you on that one !

A couple of weeks ago I entered a cafeteria, where seated was a supporter I have known for a while enjoying his 'Latte'.
His comment when I entered was "Moaning Minnie has entered the building". The poor chap has been subjected to my moans and groans about our team and once dubbed me an "Ancient Elijah of doom" !

One of my favourite players in my time supporting Palace and certainly amongst the most exciting to watch.
I've been unhappy with his efforts this season though.
Earlier in the season I largely held Hodgson accountable as I assumed it was the defensive tactics and insistence on keeping shape that was holding Zaha back.
But I'm sure Hodgson doesn't stop him taking on and dribbling past people which he has shown a reluctance to do this season.
I lost count of the times this season when he was one on one with the defender and failed to deliver when we know that's his main strength.
I still think there's a query about his final ball or finishing but used to say the same about Sterling and look at how that's improved under Guardiola.
Personally I hope he goes to a top club and flourishes.
We've been overly reliant on him for too long.

A Few positives possibly, 4-4-2 suits us better, and Benteke, Sclupp does have a goal in him, i think Kouyate would make a good CD, plays there all the time for his country, thats about it

1. Agree Roy will still be manager
2. Think Zaha will go as there's always someone who will think they can help him get his mojo back
3. Kouyate may well start at centre back depending on our injury and fitness situation. I'd like to see him play that position more often (rather than in midfield)
4. We will try and bring in another 3/4 young players. whether or not we succeed remains to be seen. It's what I want to see, though
5. No other signings? I expect at least one loan in and possibly a mature free agent.

As to how we will do next season, I'll keep my powder dry until I see who comes in.

One final point, if I'm not mistaken the transfer window will be open for at least 3 weeks after the new season begins, so it may be a while before we see the final shape of our squad.

The season starts on 12 Sep and the PL transfer window closes on 05 Oct.

There is an extension, I believe until 11 Oct - During this window, PL clubs will only be able to trade with EFL clubs (either loans or permanent registrations).
