Putting the question of sacking RH to one side I have another major concern. Palace have been in the EPL for 7 years. We have an aging squad which is in desperate need of rejuvenation. But there appears to be no money. The talent in the academy is either not there or unrecognised. The stadium is a relic yet plans to renovate remain that, just plans. It seems the only way the club can afford either of those requirements is for a sugar-daddy to arrive and save the day. He won't come - Palace are not a glamour club. They are also now seen as a dour football playing side. So no chance of riches in that direction. If a club like Palace cannot make a decent profit from maintaining their EPL place and all the income that provides - surely something is seriously wrong. I really don't know how we get out of this.
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

For a club our size we've paid too much in wages to the likes of Zaha, Benteke, Sakho etc.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Total rebuild needed. That's no secret. Next season could be the hardest yet. I really hope we sort our transfers out early doors and give the new players pre-season to bed in. There is no way this will happen though, it will be the usual scramble. Sakho and Big Ben are both reportedly on £100k+ pw which is absurd given their contribution. Both must go. The same as Meyer who doesn't seem up to it. That will free up £300k pw/£15m per season. If we're lucky we might get £10m in transfer fees for those three combined. We also have too many players in CM. We surely don't need all of Luka, Jimmy Mac, James Mc, Kouyate, Schlupp and Reidewald. Ones got to go. Hopefully we'll snap up Ferguson from WBA and we'll need to take a punt on a striker and winger. Either from overseas/Championship/youth from a big club. We can't afford a proven Premier League goalscorer. Now is the time to throw some of the kids in the deep end to see if they can swim. We're gonna need the likes of Pierrick to step up to the plate next season.

Early transfers keep dreaming this is SP he doesn't do such a thing he keeps trying to cut prices right until the end which ends up costing us even more. The other issue is why would players want to come to Palace just look how we play so unless you throw a lot of money at them don't expect anything great (this also shows why we have over paid wages etc it was only way to get the bodies in) Big Ben did have moments people forget the guy had a season he scored like 16 goals he is being wasted because of this awful football we are playing. Sakho has to go never thought he was a good buy from the start SP must have some friends at Liverpool he owed favors to. Meyer never given a proper chance and a lot of the rumors about his wages are wrong he is on about 60 a week with some bonuses. Reiderwald will be sold Roy doesn't like him another guy not given proper chance and they have been trying to sell him since they sacked FDB (from what i remember he was going to go last season but deal was called of just before window ended) Proven goalscorers no matter the league are hard to come by and cost a lot also again if you don't play the system for them they can end up useless. People keep going on the loop about the kids Roy has already said hes not going to do that go and watch the video so it's pointless keep going on about it plus I think he may have a point watching a lot of them play not been impressed by any.

No attacking/creative midfielder is going to want to come here and I wouldn't blame them.

Wigan fans have more to worry about. After 8 seasons in the Premier and FA Cup winners, they have plunged like a stone and now in administration.

I read an article someone put on another forum explaining how clubs of our stature effectively run out of money after about seven or eight years in the Premier League and end up with ageing squads as result like Stoke and West Brom. It explained the rationale and short term financial decisions that lead to it. Apart from the so called big six and Everton, only West Ham and Southampton who both got promotion in 2012 have been in the current premier league longer than us so I think we're reaching that point. As pointed out above Wigan also went down after about eight years I think Sunderland were in it a similar amount of time.
