Our game on Saturday on BBC1 is likely to attract the largest TV audience of any PL match in history.

Fingers crossed we put on a 'non-Palace' display of entertaining, passing football.

It won't be easy as Bournemouth are not exactly exponents of skilful defence and they are in a desperate position so may resort to the 'dark arts' in their quest for survival.

If the game in any way resembles the match last season at Selhurst (a 5-3 win for us) then I will be ecstatic.

We need to prove to the uncommitted we are a team deserving our place in the top flight.

This will be our chance.

Depends on how Bournemouth have used this time to prepare. Sure they will have a lot of there injured squad members back and could make a difference

Don't really know how well we have prepared either

Would be good to carry on the run we were on before lock down, but this is Palace and anything can happen as we well know...

i'm afraid it will not go well, we are notoriously bad starters and this is like the start of a season.

This, is so true, according to the BBC(i think) we have the worst points to games ratio over the 1st 9 games per EPL season 8.4, the next team to us on 8.5 . . . Bournemouth. So, 0-0 it is then.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

I think a big percentage of fans are very pissed off with their clubs and players. I just wonder what damage it's done to the game in the long term. If it is a boring 0-0, combined with no spectators, ie a real yawnfest, then that won't help either.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

I’m personally hoping the BBC manage to put some background noise on the game. It makes so much difference to the game, if there’s just a blank silence with the thud of a ball now and then it’s borderline unwatchable for me.

Let's hope it's not a horror show.

What’s the likely starting 11? I’m not up to speed with injuries but I’d go for

Guita
Ward, Cahill, Tomkins, PVA
Townsend, Milo. Meyer. McArthur. Zaha
Ayew.

I thought Tomkins was injured in the friendly against his former club. Also according to the Times the other day, Mama is fit.

According to my data, we do actually average 8.45 but Bournrmouth's is 11.2, not too bad. We are worst of those currently in division, with Sheff Utd at 8.5. Swindon is worst ever. They picked up just 3 draws in first 9 games of their one season in EPL

Looking on the brighter side, we average 11.9 points in final 9 games, which puts us 15th of the 49 teams that have ever appeared in EPL. Brighton only average 4.5

All eyes on us. I'm quietly confident.

Famous last words?
