I think he's immense but is he the best in the Premier League? If not, and if you could swap him for anyone who would it be?

No one really knows, do they? But I'd say he's certainly top 5 or 6. You might take Alison/Ederson/Lloris over him. But not many more.

PS. That photo is gold. What the heck's going on?

Given the choice I’d rather have Vicente Guaita

Best goalkeeper in the Premier is a big shout but one thing I do know is that we have an extremely good and solid keeper who has now well and truly established himself as our number 1.

Anyone have any idea how long he has left on his contract? Simply asking as would hate to lose him now.

My understanding is that his contract expires in June next year.

I agree with your assessment of the qualities of Guaita.

In that case I think we should certainly look to extending his contract soon... Yes he’s 33 but as we know Keepers tend to last longer than outfield players, especially if they look after themselves which Guaita, physically looks like he does.

I honestly wouldn't swap him for anyone in the PL. Ederson just gifted ManU two goals. Degea is crap. VG has the perfect combination of skill, calmness, and being a great teammate.

There are other keepers that may be as good, but like I said, I would not take a chance swapping Vince with any other PL keeper.

2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle

VG is certainly one of the top 3 or 4 keepers THIS SEASON. But as we've seen, De Gea, probably the best keeper over the last decade in the Prem, has been strangely inconsistent this, so who knows what next year will bring?
I'm hoping we keep VG BUT if we HAD to swap him, I'd probably want either Hendo from Manure/Sheff U or Dubravka from Newcastle (who played really well against us and, like VG for us, is the reason Newcastle aren't in the bottom 3).

I was actually quite pleased (on reflection) after Vicente dropped the ball over the line vs Sheff Utd, as hopefully that put off some potential suitors. Superb keeper.

Henderson will either go back to Man Utd or will stay at Sheff Utd,so there is no possibilty of us acquiring him.

I believe Dubravka has saved more shots this season in the PL than any other goalkeeper. Not a bad Benitez signing at £3.6 Million after initially signing him on loan for a loan fee of £1.8 Mill.

Pretty certain we have the option of a one year extension to his contract.
