So the rumours out Palace are coming to Queensland to play Brisbane roar and Westham in a couple of friendly a palace will be playing in Brisbane and Townsville in July might have to take a trip to Queensland in July I reckon

What is it with going to unreachable (For most fans) places for a pre-season kickabout ? Maybe its to promote the club in far flung places . Even vflynn has a 4000 mile round trip and he is just around the corner

It's all about spreading the Palace name and increasing the awareness of the club. The Queensland Government would be underwriting the costs so the costs to Palace would be limited, I would think. I'll be there despite a 3 hour plane trip to Townsville, a place I haven't visited before. A 2 hour plane trip to Brisbane is nothing. Only seen us live once - at Selhurst in 2009, so will be magical to see them live, albeit a pre-season game. Will be a nice change from getting up to watch at 2am.

My brother in law lives in Brisbane. Ironically we were already discussing as a family to go out there for three weeks in the school holidays. I just need to know that dates because we wouldn't be able to fly until they have broken up from school (the missus works in a school otherwise I wouldn't worry about taking the boys out for a week).
