I live a long way from Selhurst now but I grew up in Norbury/Streatham area , just wondering where we have the strongest support.

Draw a 10mile circumference around Selhurst Park and a very large majority of fans will have a family tie one or two generations old.
An interesting question would be why support Palace without this tie.

Circumference is the distance around the whole circle. Radius is tge distance from the centre of the circle to the edge. Even then a heat map would get very light going further north towards London.

That’s something I’ve never understood, I grew up in Bromley, lived in South Norwood for a few years, local team blah blah, so I don’t get what draws these foreign supporters groups who haven’t that connection to a club. They meet up in pubs at strange hours to watch the games, okay it must be a good social thing, but why palace? Why not your local team? If you haven’t got that connection or that match day experience, actually being at the games, you’ve got nothing as far as I’m concerned, but I know times have changed and each to their own I suppose

I have been surprised at the number of our supporters in my 'neck of the woods' on the south coast, a 30 minute train journey from Brighton.I happen to know quite a few supporters some of whom were raised or lived in Warlingham,Crawley,West Wickham etc.

In actual fact there are 2 drinking establishments in fairly close proximity to my abode whose owners are supporters of our club.

Born in West Norwood, lived in South Norwood and Croydon till 35, My Dad took me to Selhurst when I was 4, I've never forgiven him.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

We have a supporters club in Norway, in the early sixties a plane crash caused the death of students from Lanfranc school in Croydon, there has been a connection ever since, i remember the crash, some of the lads who died lived close to me
