Tomorrow's Palace game is free to watch if you take out a month's free trial to Amazon Prime today.

The Christmas match is also being shown so you can then cancel anytime before the free period is up, otherwise £79 a year or £7.99 a month thereafter.

As I might be struggling to get to the game if I get out of work late, I’ve already done it just in case

I wonder if this will cause problems in the future if you want to do it again for their next batch of matches or even if you want to take out an Amazon Prime subscription for any other reason

I was thinking the same thing. I don't order enough on Amazon to benefit from the free delivery and I am not impressed by their Prime video / TV offering so I would be cancelling after the free trial. I have no problem if next time they say no free trial but as you say will it cause problems?

You can only have 1 trial per 12 months

There have been discussions in the press that there may not be enough bandwidth to cope with streaming the matches, particularly on Wednesday with 6 simultaneous games.

If there are any streaming problems at least we won't be paying, hopefully with only the 2 games tomorrow it should be OK but it will be an interesting development,
which could point the way to the future (and an increase in competition and, hence, more money for the PL)

The only downside I can see is that gates will diminish
especially over the Christmas period when so many games are being shown at the same time.

The game is on live on TSN 1 here in Malta, so if there are problems with Amazon (or you don't want to sign up) there shouldn't be any problems riding the pirate ship. The good thing about streaming services though is you're only tied in for 30 days and it's easy to cancel.

Already got Sky Sports, BT Sport and a Palace season ticket and much as I like live games I'm not paying anymore.

If you can only do one free prime trial a year what's to stop you just trialling on a friend/family's account when the next batch of matches come around.

RE Uphill's point given the prevelance of pirate streams I don't think gates will get hit that bad. IMO illegal streaming will take the biggest hit.

Only downside is you have to give card details if you trial prime, hate doing that.

I have to agree with Simon Jordan on this matter the EPL should set up & broadcast their own games. You could buy a season ticket of say 49.99, or per match at 3.99 or somewhere around that mark. Millions of dollars to be made per day with matches normally spread over 3 or 4 days and more when there are mid week games.
Fill out the rest of the schedule with U23 games, documentaries, highlight programmes & the like.
