Saw it earlier today and absolutely loved it. For anyone, like me, who felt disappointed with the force awakens, this makes up for it. Shows that prick JJ Abrams how to make a Star Wars movie.

I thought the force awakens was 'decent enough'. It did what it needed to do, settle the 'prequel' horror jitters and establish the franchise again. Granted its just 'A New Hope' in different clothes and a different era. But its passes the torch on well bridges the gap between RoJ and FA well enough. Can't wait to see Rogue One (well I can, as I'm going on Boxing Day). The idea of a series of 'independent' Star Wars stories is very exciting.

Whilst in my head Kyle Katarn will always be the character that secured the Death Star plans, Rogue One was excellent & probably ranks as my 2nd favourite movie in the SW franchise behind a New Hope. It absolutely wipes the floor with the waste of time that was Force Awakens. Really looking forward to the Han Solo backstory now.

I saw it last night and enjoyed it ... cgi for Cushing was pretty good ... leia less so! One thing sticks out for me ... in ANH ... Mon Motha says "many bothans died to get these plans" ... no bothans (whatever they are) in this movie Edited by Blue'n'red (22 Dec 2016 3.26pm)

I thought The Force Awakens was utter toilet. Just a feeble copy of the first Star Wars film with a couple of tweaks to try and make it fit. Made me think the franchise had gone the way of the LoTR/Hobbit one with the Battle of the Five Armies, which tried to spin the last chapter of the book out to a two-and-a-half hour film with padding, waffle and diversions. Total s***e. Edited by chateauferret (25 Dec 2016 10.17pm)

children's programmes with brilliant artwork. Nothing much else to see here. Give Darth Vader the sex life of, say, Gengis Khan and i will sit up, drop my biscuit and pay attention. Get the different members of the Rebel Alliance all squabbling amongst each other and we have a plot. these movies glamourise war and are probably funded by Hilary Clinton and her investors.
