Another bunch of lazy malcontents. My Dad after toiling for years as a Bricklayer on sites contracted TB back in the day, after recovery he joined the Post Office where he worked for over 20 years. He said it was a cushy number & wish he'd joined earlier rather than toiling on construction sites in stifling heat or bone numbing frigid weather. When we moved from Balham to Surrey I remember him saying he used to deliver mail to the likes of Jimmy Tarbuck, Bruce Forsyth & Reg Varney (remember him?) I even had a stint one Xmas when work was tight. I used to do my first round in a little over an hour & a half & second delivery in 45 minutes!! No wonder the Union shop steward told me to slow down. The Post Office is outdated & needs modernizing except for bills (& even most of them are now done electronically)I doubt if anyone sends a letter nowadays & Christmas cards will be a thing of the past within 5 years...

BA crew are not balloting at the moment. The last news report about any ballot by BA crew was nearly a month ago. Needless scaremongering.

Read this last night and it is so true, luddites The postal strike is ultimately self-defeating: compel people to use already-dominant technology and convince them of your own irrelevance.

I'll tell the people in the post office queue with letters that they don't really exist anymore shall I?

If it's true people will lose their jobs i.e. forced redundancies and they will lose their pensions then I support the strike Thats not the case with Southern so I don't support them
