I don't live in Croydon any more, but on the way back from Gatwick Airport I stopped off at East Croydon and thought, what the hell, I might pop in for five minutes What a fantastic place! I wish that existed when I was younger. Why is time such a cruel mistress? I also bought that Joey Barton book when I was on the way out to Munich (I was there to look at self driving lorries) which is why I'm starting to ponder the great mysteries of human existence. I like Joey Barton. One minute he's posing questions about the human condition, but in the next paragraph he's giving his side of a nightclub bust up where he chinned everyone from a 15 year old Everton fan to Richard Dunne.

Can you please explain more about the place rather than some s***e footballer? Don't mean to be rude. Was talking about this to a friend and really thought this would be a decent review of what they are offering. Nice to see someone enjoying a night out in Croydon, no doubt someone living thousands of miles away will know better though.

But in fact it's a massive space, with loads of tiny (shipping container sized) units selling food and drink arranged on the outside around a huge central seating area, with benches. Seemed to have a really lively atmosphere. I was there about 7:30 tonight. As Joey Barton might say "Eeen France? You may describe eeet, how you say, as Croydon's ansair.... to Covent Jardin?"

Living in East Croydon, I decided to walk through myself on Thursday to have a quick butchers. I couldn't believe I was in Croydon! The place was buzzing, cracking atmosphere like you say, busy but not overpacked. Seems so far to be the best thing that's happened to Croydon in a while. Great spot to hang out on the weekends. I think it will do wonders for Croydon and worth a visit.

I went last week and had a pint in the Cronx Bar. The Cronx lads have done a great job.

It is opposite where I work and it has certainly been busy. Yesterday lunch time there was a queue around the corner as one of the outlets was giving away free burritos. I have not ventured over there yet but my colleagues who have all have said how good it is. Only down side is apparently the price of some food.

I haven't tried Cronx beer yet Is it good?
I tried some of that Kraft Cheese and, to be honest, it seemed like mass manufactured stuff. I think they were taking the mickey there
