I'm spending 3 days in Amsterdam next week with Mrs Pikester.
As the HOL is the 'go to place' for advice from sheds to solar panels I naturally post this on here rather than Trip Advisor.

Where are the must see places? Best bars, daytrips, museums, restaurants? Most convincing Tranny?

I'm sure Superfly used to go about 4 times a year before he became a thespian.
Anyone else?

Cheers,
Pikey.

You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name.

The red light district is at the back of dam square if memory serves me correctly.

Restaurant wise there is a floating Chinese restaurant which is lovely with nice views of an evening but quite pricey (can't remember the name of it )

Edit.just googled its called restaurant sea palace and it's a 3 storey floating restaurant so can't miss it

Take Superfly with you and get freaked out by the 'animal look' in his eye when passing the €30 hookers by the church.

Then question humanity, your reason for existing and consider living out your days in a monastery.

Seriously:

Heineken Experience is worth a visit.

Little Buddha is a very decent restaurant.

The Rijks Museum is worth a visit.

Followed by a €10 w*** in an animal p*** nudey booth.

Watch out for smug Egghead benders with knives.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Haven't been myself, but someone told me about the Sex Museum which has a bicycle with a phallus where the saddle should be and goes up and down as you pedal?

I used to work there, so know the Dam pretty well.

Ann Frank's house is worth a visit. And I recommend the cafe opposite where she was known to order food - always ' to go ' apparently.

For hearty Dutch food - Pantry on Leidsekruisstraat
Indonesian - Long Pura on Rozengracht
Pasta y Basta - Italian with singing waiting staff -Nieuwe Spiegelstraat - best to book in advance for this one

Drinks - The American Hotel bar for cocktails

Vondel Park is worth a stroll around

And my personal recommendation for a ' coffee ' is Amnesia on Prinzengracht

Most convincing Tranny ? Visit Oriental Village near Central Station, you should have plenty of choice.

Oh, and for one of your 5-a-day, the Banana Bar

Oriental City is great, 3 floors and an excellent place to eat and people watch.

Got to have fries and an array of sauces from the vendor located everywhere. Think satay and onion is the local favourite ?

Also this place is a must. Can't beat some Febo goodness

[Link]

Grey Area and Greenhouse Centrum for herbal remedies.

Have fun !
