Looking forward to this fight, I'm a massive fan of brook but he stands next to no chance, not only is golovkin a monster, naturally bigger and stronger, forget what brook has said this week, I've yet to hear a boxer move up in weight who dosnt feel stronger untill they lose and it was one step too far, massive difference between fighting weight and walking around. Also a lot of people look past the fact that golovkin has far superior technical ability than his given credit for even so I will be cheering brook on and hoping he can pull off a massive upset. I will stupidity stick on a brook/smith double, only as it's about 50/1. But it looks as tho the wool is getting pulled over the boxing fans eyes again. Brook has pretty much confirmed this week he won't be moving back down to light welter, "too hard to make the weight" name me a boxer that dosnt struggle, just so happens as spence Jr who is probably the best prospect out there is now his mandatory. Also means we won't get a massive unification fight against thurman/garcia even Bradley/khan would sell well and be a risk. Expect to see brook go to light middle/super welter with the easier option on paper of lara/the charlo twins, a British fight vs smith or an ageing and well past his peak cotto. I'm getting fed up of every boxer pretty much doing all they can to avoid the best in their division. There's probably more fights at a catch weight these days than unification fights.

Agree I think brook loses but then says that triple G was too big. Same as Khan v Canelo. He knows if he loses he goes back down 2 weights.

Brook (like GGG) is undefeated, a world champion, is 4 years his junior and is also the home fighter. Personally I think if Brook uses his skill and fights at range then this could be interesting. Having said all that, I would still put my house on a GGG win.

Usually always cheer on the British fighter and I like Brook (despite him having Keith Lemon's voice) but wouldn't be too devastated if GGG wins as am a big fan, he is magnificent. Can't wait anyway.

I am awaiting dannyh contribution to this thread, would like it to be a good fight but experts seem to think brook has little chance, brook just announced on ssn that he will shock the world, we'll see.

The fact that anyone thinks Brook could win this fight is a testament to the gullibility of sports fans.

Let's remember that Brook only took this fight because they couldn't get anyone in the right weight divison to take on the task. Golovkin is a freak of nature and people in the fight game know that. Brook is on a win win. He gets loads of money, exposure and kudos for bravery and when he loses, no one will hold it against him. If he were to win it would be among the most astonishing victories of all time. Unless Golovkin contracts flu in the next 24 hours, it's not going to happen. The fact that some think Golovkin is unbeatable is testament to the gullibility of sports fans. Every great fighter looks unbeatable right up to the point that they get beaten. For the record, I think Brook is long odds to win this fight. But the image of Golovkin as an unbeatable monster is every bit as much a product of promotional spin as Brook's chances in this fight. Golovkin's record is impressive, no doubt. But a huge proportion of his wins (as brooks) have come against fighters below elite level. The best name on his record is arguably David Lemieux...you wont find many casual boxing fans who have even heard of him.
