What a nightmare trying to get a job at Tesco answer god knows how many question then upload your right to work document's Then if you apply for a different position at anther branch you have to go though the same question all over again. went for two Customer Delivery Driver vacancies one branch gave me an interview after they checked my right to work document's The other branch would not give me an interview as they say my right to work document's I uploaded was not good enough birth cert I gave them was not a full one BUT IT IS But surely once you upload your document's on their site they should stay there permanently so you not have to upload your document's every time you apply for different jobs

Apply for a job on the railway (if you live South East) they're massively under staffed, and are gonna do a recruitment drive. I used to work for a TOC, and they've been found out for relying on overtime from their existing staff, DFT have told them to recruit more asap

Given the choice, I would rather work for anyone else rather than work for those c**ts again. I've had some s**t jobs, but working the night shift at Tesco was the one I hated the most. Not for the work, but the company, its managers and its love of its own corporate voice and propaganda. I've worked plenty of manual labour jobs, but I'd never worked one where the company line was so prevalent.

I worked for Tesco while I attended college. A few years ago now. I generally didn't mind it; all the check-out girls used to flirt with me. I left when I could still hear the beeping of the till when I wasn't at work. My advice - upskill, get whatever education you can afford - and get a better job.

I worked for Tesco's ( I wont mention where) back in the early 80s over a Xmas period of about three weeks as I had no work. I worked from (I think) 9pm through till 7am stacking shelves. Needless to say the money wasn't great, so to supplement there slave wage I took to taking big bottles of lemonade or soda water ditching them down the bog and topping them up with Bacardi, Gin and Vodka. I then marked the bottles with a small dot from a felt tip pen. My mate would come in to the store bang on 8am and buy all those bottles. We would then proceed to sell on the booze to unscrupulous landlords in SW London who would then I guess be topping up their bottles.....

Ha ha sounds like my mate who was head security at a sainsburys in south london but was also very light fingered, which the offies around croydon were never ungrateful for.

Yes my experience with Tesco is bad. Tesco tells me that the recruitment dept. has NO phones you can only deal with them by Email even Head office cant contact them by phone But when they cant understand English or they are to thick to read an email properly , how can you communicate with them ??? If you disagree with them and have a different opinion to them they say your temperament is questionable As for adult college courses not as good as they make out they are, I did an adult college courses for plumbing. I am now a qualified NVQ level 2 C&Q plumber after a years training course. Even being qualified you cant get a job as they say you might be qualified but you have NO experience so they wont give you a job. So your only option is to go self employed then its hard to get work has you have no contacts or you have to much competition with all the bloody refugee doing the work for peanuts
