Police called out to investigate reports of a man considered to be endangering his own safety......they fry his system with thousands of volts in what I'm sure was a genuine attempt to control him. You couldn't make it up. RIP Dalian Atkinson.

Tasering unarmed, and possibly drunk, people should be illegal. Some of the police seem to see it as first resort and not last.

As I have shamefully admitted before, I spent a brief period of time as a youngster supporting Villa (couldn't give a stuff about them now). Dalian was my favourite player. Pretty gutted to hear this.
