He'll be back later on this week probably.

Either that or he'll lead Labour or Conservatives.

They could do with decent direction.

Anyway he deserves a break for brilliantly masterminding the Brexit campaign to victory.

So now two of the main Brexit architects have now scuttled off.

And the remaining one, allegedly, can't hold his wee-wee after he had a couple of snifters.

When the time comes, I want die just like my Dad - at peace and asleep.
Not screaming and terrified.
Like his passengers.

He has achieved what he set out to.

WHEN we leave the EU he won't be an MEP anymore.

When was Farage ever going to be making decisions for the country after the referendum?

There is a chance he may be given a role in cabinet if Andrea Leadsom is PM.

Boris was stitched up for his leadership campaign, but remains an MP and loyal to the cause..

Farage has achieved UKIP's aim and is not an MP, he has just resigned as leader of a party that must change it's reason for being.

Gove is a sh1t stirring arsehole arsehole I agree.

There are plenty more leading Brexiteers around to ensure this great opportunity for the UK to succeed as an Independent country actually happens

Not a chance. He's too divisive and outspoken for either party. Its also his second resignation as leader of UKIP.

I think this might be tied with the issues with Arron Banks has with the party. He's been talking about starting a new party, and its likely that maybe that's more central to his decision than anything else.

But it should be concerning how quickly the Brexit leadership have crumbled out of positions of authority.

No matter how you dress it up, he's let his supporters down here. Another deception perpetuated by the Leave campaign? Quelle surprise. They're clearing the decks of people who are a liability or are directly tied to 'promises' they'll never be able, or intended, to keep.

I reckon he plans to get on board with Leadsom if she gets the gig and assists her with Brexit.

He's also probably sick to death of Carswell.

WHOOSH...... that was tongue-in-cheek Jamie......

And Farage let NOBODY down... he's campaigned for us to leave the EU for decades, in the face of very hostile opposition from every corner.

The EU referendum even taking place at all was down to him, let alone the fantastic result that we won.

Arise Sir Nigel of Farage!

Someone should tell Nigel Farage we have something called annual leave. You don't need to resign every summer.

Yeah but if he took it there'd be a petition for "annual remain".

You don't think that if someone is planning to resign, they should make that clear before an election, in which they are campaigning? I think it shows poor respect for politics, the party and the electorate, to campaign on an issue that you have no intention of following up on.

Especially given he only seems to have come back to the fore of UKIP for that Brexit campaign. I get resigning if you lose, but to campaign for something, win and then call it a day. Still I think he's earned his retirement, even if I don't agree with his politics or how he plays the game. Hopefully we won't see him come back again when the dust has settled.

All part of the great British Politics sell out.
