Hello - sorry to read that you have been suffering. I was attacked by my garden last week, and visited my local Chemist. Rather than searching the shelves myself, I spoke with the pharmacist who suggested Loratadine 10mg. I got thirty tablets for £3.99 - would be more expensive on prescription, but cheap as only one to be taken each day. Took three (over three days) and then one a couple of days later. Am feeling entirely happy. Good luck. John

Hayfever is a weird thing. I had it all through my teens and twenties and then never had it again. Go figure.

Never had it myself but I have a few mates that struggle badly with it. The one who usually suffers the most was fine on Sunday, while another was as bad as I've ever seen him. Weird stuff indeed.

Locally source honey is supposedly a good remedy (no I'm not a hippy maannnnn) it contains pollen from your area which is what you are having a reaction to. If it works is another thing and does anyone still make their own honey???

Was hoping this would be a dead thread. Yeah it was terrible today, sneezing myself silly on the train up to London. It's a Piriton a day until the 'summer' is over unfortunately.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

Really? I don't think I am. Great riposte Oscar. There was a Post on F***book the other day suggesting Hayfever sufferers merely needed to squeeze a pressure point on their palm and the symptoms would disappear-it was shared by about 500,000 people-possibly the same ones who believe Apple give away ipods if you share a photo of Steve Jobs'nob on your timeline. Go figure.

Oddly hayfever tends to be localised and to specific types of grass pollen for most people. Also certain blood pressure medications will prevent it unless the count is really high.
