I really have to say after years of being mocked about the extent of ill feeling towards Britain's relationship with the EU I can finally say....in comparison lots of Remainers are making the term 'swivel eyed' look like understatement.

There are huge numbers of Remainers on social media making complete tools of themselves.

Quite - although I don't know whether the same would have been the case in reverse. I expect more nonsense going forwards.

At least it would have been largely restricted to the Daily Mail.

That's just occupied by brexiters moaning at the paper for giving them the facts after the event.

I believe this result is much more about immigration than any great strength of feeling about the EU.

Yep. Freedom of movement, and its impact on employment, wages and public services probably was sufficient to result in the majority for Leave. Its telling that many very labour areas, also voted against their party leader, like many conservatives.

The big issue here is how poorly represented people have been by their elected governments.

If that is the case, does it make it wrong?

Time to move forward together.

That will depend on how far we lurch to the Right and how deep the economic hole we have dug for ourselves turns out to be.

Voting immigration out might turn out in the medium to long-term to be much more destructive than voting for the status quo. Or not. We will see.

What makes me laugh Michael is that you and your sort MASSIVELY misunderstood the prevailing political thought in this country. Your preoccupation with gender, gay, immigrant and minority rights has pushed you so far away from the people you claim to be part of and promote, the white working class, and has cost you dearly in this referendum.

You and your comrades need to start connecting with the working class again. It's them what won this for the side of reason. They know the EU equals lower wages, youth unemployment and the preservation of the elite.

You and your sort f***ed up. Deal with it.

There you go again. What is it with you and skin colour? There are millions of British working class who don't have a white hue. Don't they count in your world? I guess not. You have my pity.

How would you know. The last time you saw a non white face, you were glad, yet felt awkward, because they had to go and clear up the s*** your kid left in the bogs of the local Nandos.

it is you who is sensitive over race, mainly one thinks because you don't have much interaction with people other than whites.

You haven't got a clue about the average person in this country, you thrive on presumed truths you imagine. You are the one who needs pity.
