Well we lost to them albiet only 1-0. They were improving and if Benitez had gone in a few games earlier he would have probably kept them up.

Very amusing to watch. Our result aside the only thing that could have bettered it is Swansea beating City, ensuring United would have to put out a strong side in what I hope is a midweek game (that's if the FA don't decide to award both teams a point to save the hassle of rescheduling the game.

It's as if they switched off as soon as they drew 2-2 with Chelsea and realised they were out of the title race. They then lost 2-1 at home to Southampton, and now this. 5-1 to relegated Newcastle! Funny to think we beat them 5-1 earlier in the season. I found out this morning they call this 'St Totteringham's Day', the day in the season when Tottenham can mathematically no longer finish above Arsenal in the league. Spurs have been second for months, should be ashamed of themselves.

Their fans will be going nuts, first they miss out on their best chance of a title for 56 years and then they concede 2nd place to the hated Gunners on the final day. God knows what they'll make of Pochettino excusing it by saying the players were thinking about their holidays.

Maybe it just wouldn't happen in 'La Liga' or 'Serie A' or indeed the 'Bundesliga' where a team challenging for 2nd place is thrashed 5-1 by a team already relegated.
