I always thought that the fifth Beatle was Pete Best?
Growing up in N Wales in the 70s with only Radio City and BBC Radio Merseyside as local radio stations The Beatles formed a huge part of my musical influence. Sad times, I don't know if it is my age but 2016 does feel like a real watershed.

I love the fact that loads of record companies turned the Beatles down, but he was the only one prepared to give them a chance seeing their long term potential rather than immediate profit. I'll bet most of those learned a very expensive lesson from that experience. RIP Sir George Martin - a man with vision.
