Anyone else can not believe that was not ruled out for offside? Fancy new idea a second wall behind the defending wall, but surely that interferes with play!!

A joke decision.

Someone better sort the refs out sharpish or these will become de rigueur every week.

FC Midtjylland have been using this and as far as I am aware haven't been penalised for it.

The famous words of Brian Clough come to mind, but these three were blatantly interfering with play and the referee is an idiot.

All to do with intrepretation regards "Interfering with play" but this is incident is certainly a talking point and I have found it fascinating.I'll will have a chat about this with a referee to see his take on it!!!!

Yes, it's where they got the idea from but I don't really care about the Danish league.

They need to tell the refs here that it's not allowed. Block the view from an onside position, fair enough, but not that.

I did notice that when the ball was actually kicked, the Man Utd players were well outside the 6yd box. Furthermore they were running away from goal and away from where the ball was placed. Also the ball went in over the defensive wall and not over the Man Utd players who had been positioned behind the wall.
Interesting incident !

Outside the 6 yard box or not, they were all offside and them running away was a further distraction than standing still would've been.

The ball went over the defensive wall but went in to the goal behind where the man u players had been.

Even Louis Van Moan couldn't believe they got away with it.

They were obviously in an Offside position but it is all down to interpretation with regards to "Interfering with play".Factors to consider is the fact they were not standing still right in front of the keeper but running away from him and not playing the ball.As I say, interesting incident which has caused some debate !

Van Moan said his players checked it out with the ref beforehand and he said it was ok. It was the same ref who gave the pen for Watford after Deaney had warned him what Jedinak was doing at corners. The moral of the story? - chat this ref up beforehand and listen carefully to what the other teams say to him !!

As for the free kick it's offside 100% - it doesn't matter which direction they were running in - they stood in front of the keeper intentionally to block his view.

If the refs do allow this tactic then maybe the defending team should just stand some men in front of this 2nd wall so that they can't run away from goal. There are probably loads of ways to defend this but they will all result in mayhem so the answer is for the refs to give offside every time and stop the tactic.

Of course they were in an Offside position but just because one is in this position doesn't necessarily mean one is "Offside". All down to interpretation of "Interfering with play" and "Interfering with opponent"

The ball actually went over the defending wall and in.
If it had gone over the Man Utd players and in maybe the referee would have deemed it "Interfering with play"/ "Interfering with opponent". Just looking it at it from various angles.

The mere fact that they are positioning themselves in that position certainly implies they are "interfering with play" as the only reason is to obstruct the keepers view.

Sometimes I can see talking points but this seems blatant. It's a new one for me, never seen it done before.
