They have been exchanging words and all that, but if they actually fought what would happen? In a boxing ring surely Mayweather

You can't compare the two. Completely different disciplines.

McGregor would be left in a heap by Mayweather's henchmen. As any fight wouldn't be taking place in any kind of ring, within any kind of sporting rules.

A boxer can throw three types of punch, vs an MMA fighter who can use most parts of his body as a weapon plus ground fighting. I would love Mayweather's mouth and attitude to talk him into a scrap with McGregor, it would be over quickly but it would be pure heaven to watch him finally get a beating. However I'm sure Mayweather knows this and wouldn't be stupid enough to get within range. In a cage or in a boxing ring you've still got a boxer vs MMA fighter. No contest. The last time a skilled boxer took on the most hyped up MMA fighter of a generation, it ended with Rhonda Rousey in a bloodied heap on the floor.

Just look at the purses and that tells you everything you need to know, there's a dozen boxers that can make over 5 million a fight, if these mma guys were that good why not just switch to boxing and earn 10 times what there used to. Completely different sports but you get 2 mma guys competing, one could be amazing at striking and useless at bjj, where as his opponent could come from a wrestling background who's had a bit of kickboxing training, 2 boxers at the highest level are both experts in their field and therefore 9 times out of 10 you will get a fairer, more competitive better quality bout.

Firstly - a jab and a cross are both straights so to all intents and purposes it's three punches. That aside, technically yes she should be able to kick Mayweather's ass without even throwing a punch: Range of kick > range of punch Throw in the fact that Mayweather has never been trained to defend against anything other than a boxer, he wouldn't have a clue how to protect himself against the varying attacks of an MMA fighter.

Exactly so if your that good an athlete why not make as much money as you can, mcgregor was originally a boxer who wasn't good enough to make a decent career so switched to mma like plenty of others, name me one person that quite mma to go on and become a world champion boxer. No one and give mayweather a year mma training and he would more than hold his own, give any mma fighter a year to train and put then in a boxing match against a current champion and they would get completely embarrassed and wouldn't win a round.
