Anyone tried it?

Was contemplating a half term trip to Aviemore with my lad but wasn't sure if it's any good? (I can ski but my 11 year old son has never tried)

Any helpful comments welcome!

Been to Glenshee a few times which was fab for the snow and excellent for the beginner runs but not so much for the Apres. There isn't any. Just have to head back to whichever town/village you are holed up in and hit the hotel bars and restaurants for replenishment.

Have skied on Cairngorms in my late teens ... Stayed at Aviemore ... My main memory is whilst doing a group warm up, jumping up and down my boot dug into the snow and fell through to the river/running water below! Went with a youth group ... The skiing was pretty good ... There's a run called the M1 ... Fastest route down but it's been over 20 years since I've been.

They say hard work never hurt anyone ... but why take a chance?

Braemar is very pretty but the only place you can get fed and watered is the Fife Arms and by Crikey is it sh!te.

I can't imagine that the Chalet Maids are up to much in Scotland in looks or cuisine.

Susan Boyle offering a fondue of Mini Mars Bars and cheese doesn't float my boat.

I'm in Austria now for a week, I don't ski,had a couple of lessons, too much like hard work for me,but the tobogganing is bloody great fun.Tons of snow, food is great and the Apres ski is the dogs.

Try it Mr A, it's highly recommended.

My favourite is the peach melba.
