He's going to raise tax for the super-rich and very well off, close corporate and personal tax avoidance loopholes, add a tariff for second home owners and resist punishing the working poor, elderly, sick and middle-income'd. He is that nice.
The guy's brilliant. Edited by Kermit8 (25 Nov 2015 11.58am)

Tackling excessive BTL purchases by putting a 3% premium on BTL and second property stamp duty. Lefties rejoice. Me on the other hand, I put down a deposit on a new build BTL last week (that I'd saved for 2 years for) and it won't be ready for another year. This has cost me almost 8 grand. Voting Labour next time. WAGU 4 Jez.
The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money. |

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

Anyway, my point being, will you still have to pay those charges if it is your only property? Even if you let it out how would they know it's a BTL if your name is not on the title deeds of another property in the country?

I actually think it's a good policy to try and cool the market and keep rents under some sort of control, but it's really not good for me personally. Ho hum.
