Can't believe some complete b*stard let off loud fireworks at 1am this morning.

Must have woken up half of Croydon.

Anyone else hear them and any idea why someone did it?

Someone definitely in need of a face full of forehead.

At least its not like it used to be, Fireworks used to be going off 2 weeks before and after Nov 5th, Now it seems only a few days of them. Most kids used to have bangers and screamers but that also seems to have stopped. Selfish b******s letting them off at that time when people have to work and go to school the next day would get my blood boiling too.

To be fair you don't see it so much nowadays, when we were kids we used to throw bangers at people, set screamers off in people's letterbox, tie them to cats and all sorts

It has toned right down recently. I can remember a few years back watching kids using the traffic light fireworks like guns and firing them at each other across the road.

Optimistic as ever

It was just a short burst at exactly 1am. Just wondering if it's something to do with e.g. Diwali, seemed so specific.

Didn't you use to be funny?

As far as I can see what I heard may have been related to Deepavali, Diwali is tomorrow. Anyone able to enlighten me further?

Whoever was responsible for letting off these fireworks at that time should have far more consideration for others. No respect and no consideration for those soundly asleep in their beds.
