Finally the big man has spoken out!!... All the residential property sold. All the Police Stations that can be closed and sold have been... Civilian posts cut as much as possible and all PCSO's will be going. The coffers are empty and yet they still have to find hundreds of millions to save.

That only means one thing... Voluntary redundancy followed by compulsory. Voluntary for Sergeants and Inspectors is on the table and will be announced soon... Then it will be PC's after that... All of the above will be officers of a certain level of service, most probably those with between 12-16 years service (as we cost the most!!)

I'm just waiting to see how much will be offered and I'll be out of there!!.... Well done Teresa May!!

Last one out please turn off the light!!

I bet they leave traffic alone, as they generate millions and can't afford to lose that income.

It is indeed!!... Whoever thought it would be the Tory Party that would be responsible for totally destroying British Policing!!

Maggie would be turning in her grave 😜😜

I did once suggest this a while ago, when someone mentioned how the police could save themselves a bit of money on their expenditure. Not only the Met but all the other police forces in this country could do the same. They could all stop riding round in the big BMW X5's and the like, that would save em all quite a few bob. And before anyone goes with the old chestnut, " they need those big powerful cars for a quick response ". Well so do the paramedics, they need to respond a bit quick too. Most of them round this way drive round in Honda's and Skoda's and they all seem to manage. There you go, a money saver suggestion hope that helps.

Johnny you should be the Commisioner!!.. You would be amazed at the amount of money wasted on all sorts of things!!.. To be fair it's only the firearms response that drive around in the BMW X5s.. most of us on response team drive around in 1.6 litre diesel Hyundais!!

Mate we drive 1.6 Hyundai's, that have been bought at the cheapest possible price! You will be lucky to drive a bog standard Ford Focus at the moment.

Where does most of the budget go anyway, I thought it was pensions.

Could this be the Tories trying to get someone else to make the difficult decisions and take the blame?

The Met, like all police forces, are a registered company. Companies have directors sharing dividends. What extra funding could they need, that they ain't already robbing us of?

Very true! My friend, who works within the police force has been told that they will be made redundant and they have until March to find a new job!

I guess crime must be way down that we do not need all these police officers any longer.
