Okay chaps.... now's the time to nail your colours to the mast...... In or Out Reasons/Observations
I will give other reasons, but apparently tomorrow, the In campaign begins it's strategy with 3 "big-hitters" heading the campaign.... Blair, Brown and Major Hahaha.... could you pick 3 worse PM's in history than those 3 liars and incompetents? Add to that Corbyn, Cameron, Clegg all in favour of staying in and I would say they have a job on their hands to convince us to stay in. Farage is taking a low key role in this debate, knowing he is marmite as is UKIP. Interested to hear other views on this important debate.

Well, if the turnout is anything like the GE then the 'Out' campaign will need to get something like 18 million votes. UKIP got 4 million at the GE. Finding that 14million extra will be extremely hard to acquire, if not all but impossible, because although, obviously, plenty must have decided to vote for another party ahead of UKIP even though they don't want to be in the EU either it won't be anywhere near that figure. And even if it were it still means they didn't feel as strongly about it as the UKippers so will be more open to persuasion/coercion by the 'In' lot. I'm not sure if anything is being offered by the bookies yet but would be surprised if the 'in' campaign had higher odds than 1/3 in about 16 months time. Could be a win,win for you Hoof. edit: skybet is 4/11 now. Just checked. Edited by Kermit8 (11 Oct 2015 5.01pm)

I would say that the IN vote is edging it, but I don't think you can gauge anything by the number of UKIP voters because many millions of people who want out of the EU didn't or wouldn't vote for them for a multitude of reasons.

Obviously I'm for the out campaign. Unless Cameron brings something back that properly deals with the borders/immigration issue.

Good question Hoofy. As I am a complete idiot on this subject,I need in simple plain English the good and bad of staying in or out of the EU. Dont forget simple English, little words, short paragraphs. Lets see how we get on.

I was replying to Kermit's comment about how he didn't think the OUT campaign could win, partially based on the number of votes UKIP got. I said that's a bad measure as many millions of people in favour of leaving the UK won't have voted UKIP. I'm not exactly sure what part of this you disagree with.

I think the EU should not wait for the vote, just kick erm out, complete waste of time and space. While their at it as they don't want to be part of the Europe, boot them out of UEFA also.

Heart says OUT - head not so sure though. See what - if anything of substance - the EU mafia will agree to give as a sop to Dave. Frankly don't expect very much as giving UK too much would set a bad precedence. Time will tell!
