Keep hearing the word "Cool" and it certainly wasn't referring to the weather. Everything appears to be "Cool" these days. "Cool" this, "Cool" that, "Cool" the other ! Clearly a modern fad. Edited by Willo (27 Aug 2015 4.09pm)

"Hangry" is a great word but, surely, "NBD" is an abbreviation, not a word.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

As is "Stupid O'Clock" which I never heard in bygone days.Sure I heard some youngster says "Chillax" the other day, whatever it means.

What gets on my goat are the names of TV programmes whicgh are truncated EG Coronation Street becomes "Corrie" and "Strictly Come Dancing" becomes "Strictly".And I understand "The only way is Essex" is now "T.O.W.I.E" And YES my wife is guilty and I keep telling her off !

I don't blame you, I'd tell her off too if she watched any of those programmes! Language progresses. It always has and always will. Why use 8 syllables when you can use three and still communicate?
