Now some might say it has been "ending" for a few seasons at least, but would seem to be difficult to see a long term future for the show without the voices of 3 of its main characters. Definitely in decline but still able to make me laugh on occasion.

It’s peak must have been a good 20 years ago. There are so many great episodes but the longer it goes on, the more they get lost in a sea of sh*t.

Bring in a new voice actor and a handful of new regular characters. Could bring it back to life a little, although I agree it's along way from its peak and I doubt it'll even get close to that again.

It has peaked, but every now and then it still produces that wit and charm, and still biting in its observation. An absolute masterpiece really, how you can have a satire that can also be packaged for children, shown at 6pm and run for 26 years... Deserves its place at the very top of TV comedy history. I'm struggling to think of a better American satire that has ever existed.

The "clown college" episode makes me laugh every time I watch it. Haven't seen any new episodes for years! Attachment: homie-the-clown.gif (114.13Kb)

Still brilliant.

It's been given two more series in the US, Shearer or not. "You don't make friends with salad".

A running gag between me and my nippers is 'Daddy, I need upsies', coming from Dude, Where's My Ranch. We use it to symbolise spoiled children demanding their own way from overly compliant parents. That and 'I only asked for one pony', not sure where that came from.

Its still good, I haven't really bothered with it for years other than occasionally catching one on Sky. Its not the 'force' it used to be, but its never really become stale, like family guy and American dad did. Still it was never as good as Futurama.

Simpsons: still funny, but more 'dud' episodes creeping in, possibly run its course (and the 'celebrity guest stars' just make me cringe, especially Gervais).

I like all of the programmes mentioned above but The Simpsons at its peak was untouchable. It should have ended when Phil Hartman (who voiced Lionel Hutz & Troy McClure) was killed. The fact that it is still going despite being in steady decline ever since, shows how great it was.
