The article makes it sound as though he's been through a full interview process and been offered the job without anyone at Palace knowing. Then Bayern have approached Palace, we've said no, and he's just accepted it. Surely they would have had to ask for permission to speak to him? If it's true then very disappointing but without any direct quotes or sources I'm inclined to think it's bulls***. Its always bull. Lazy/bored journos just putting 2+2 together.

The below seems to be a quite reputable account for Bayern news and apparently confirms that they chased him, he wanted to go but we said no. A later Tweet from the same account says he's since accepted the decision to stay. If it did happen the way it seems, they're total s***bags for speaking to him without our permission and I've lost respect for him as well for going along with it so soon after we gave him a job. Between him and Freedman, I bet Parish is fuming. [Tweet Link]

I guess we've moved on as a club since we lost Steve Bruce to Wigan If it's true that is disappointing but if Oliver wants another shot at the big time then he'll have to deliver over a whole season - and convince others to stay like he has!
