No doubt there is 'isms' in the force, need weeding out etc. But this report is going to undermine the already-weakened authority for the Police to enforce the law (yes, enforce the law. Not seek permission from the public to do so). How on earth is stop and search going to even exist as a policing tool after this?

This is very concerning. No doubt there is 'isms' in the force, need weeding out etc. But this report is going to undermine the already-weakened authority for the Police to enforce the law (yes, enforce the law. Not seek permission from the public to do so).

How on earth is stop and search going to even exist as a policing tool after this?

Watched the report on this on the news last night where various quotes were made from (presumably) people who had contributed to the report. One quote was from a gay police officer, who said that when off duty he always tried to avoid walking past police officers. No reason given for this stance,no explanation of what he thought they would do to him,or had done to him in the past. If he has been jumped on/beaten/publicly humiliated by officers on duty, why didn't it say so? For me an 'I don't like to' really does need a 'because' after it to give it some substance! So, my question is, is this really an example of homophobia by the police or merely this person's preconception? Is this now the norm, where if you think someone is being homophobic in the way they look at you, then they are already guilty as charged by your perception? If that is the case, then how many other of these instances are fact and how many perception? A stairway to Heaven and a Highway to Hell give some indication of expected traffic numbers

It just won't be worth the woke lectures and filling in forms for consent or non consent or twenty different questionnaires about if the police were sensitive to your gender or race issues.
