She was certainly lovely. She was one of those European actresses like Brigitte Bardot and Claudia Cardinale who everybody knows without being sure which films they were in.

I'd go along with the claim that she was 'the most beautiful woman in the world'. Fine Italian actress who made a huge number of films including the classic Trapeze mentioned by Slimey.

Sad, but at 95 she'd lived a full life.

RIP.

 


Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.
