Oh, and if it really was such a life threatening 2 hour chase through the streets, how come none of the occupants of Harry's car are wearing seat belts? Wouldn't you think, in light of his mother's death, that would be the first thing their security guard would insist on in a chase careering around the streets of NY.

Great post. Stupid question but why do they have to get away from the paparazzi? Yes I know it's annoying and intrusive but they have both cultivated the celebrity lifestyle. Why not just tell the driver to drive normally and ignore them (he probably did).

There are rumours - and I assume that we can only speculate whether they are with some form of foundation- that all is not well with the marriage. Financial pressures relating to the house in LA, increasing amounts of time where the couple are apart, mean that the high profile and ‘chase’ need to be kept at the forefront of the news. The fact that the New York mayor’s office are questing the nature and length of the chase and that the paps are now dishing out their own version of events, may indicate that the couple have overshot the story. Mainstream news channels are also now reporting on the discrepancies in the storyline.
