The sad passing of Denny Warren got me thinking that while this page is full of nostalgia about Palace players, managers, matches, and the like, there's almost no mention of those who really make the club the community it is. Us. The supporters.

In reality, we've had a rich history of supporters in one way or another contributing to the environment around Palace sometimes on the terraces like Denny, sometimes in print (We all Follow the Palace, for example), the many fanzines back in the day, Internet communities, and so on.

Denny's given us a start. How about the names that come to your mind when you think about which supporters have really contributed something to making the club what it is?

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

Great to see the tribute to Denny Warren at the match yesterday.

On the lines of this thread, whatever happened to Chris Wright always a thorn in the side of the authorities at around the same time as Denny?

The crowd is outstanding, and especially with the penalty after 44 minutes it was clear when we came out after half-time the welcome would be pretty loud and not too friendly. Crystal Palace wanted to strike back, so that was all clear. This is a wonderful place to play football - Jurgen Klopp

Maurice Drewett is the first name that springs to my mind.

He worked on a big re-painting job at Selhurst Park and then went on to run the away fans rail travellers club.

Wound up as the maintenance man at the old Tooting training ground.

Palace through and through and a truly lovely guy.

Joyce the voice.

Not supporters but part of Palace legend - Len Chatterton and his flatterer, and also Ginge the copper.

Side-o has his own HOL emoji. There aren’t many bigger signs of respect.
