I am quite sure that the priority will remain exactly as it has been under Roy. To remain in the Premier League by whatever means is needed. Our long term development demands that we do that. Expectations of excitement through a new playing style, whilst understandable, need to be tempered with realism. We need to find our excitement and pride in other ways. Going down whilst being admired for our style, would be a disaster. When a manager is announced; depending on whom and how prestigious their history is will tell us how much chance we have of survival or better.
